Reese Engineering has officially changed its name to Reese Hackman after nearly 25 years in business. The new Reese Hackman name recognizes co-owner Jim Hackman’s 22-year history with the company and acknowledges his many contributions to the firm via his design expertise and ownership vision.
Though our name has changed, Reese Hackman remains the home for innovative architectural engineering, lighting design concepts, and technology solutions. From electrical and lighting design, to HVAC, plumbing, and telecommunications systems design, our work functionally complements and aesthetically enhances architectural design.
Founded in Denver, CO in 1995, Reese Engineering moved its main office to State College, PA in 2001. John Reese and Jim Hackman are both graduates of Penn State University’s Architectural Engineering program. Our current headquarter office off Science Park Road in State College, PA (pictured above) was constructed in 2006.
Reese Hackman provides design services for a variety of clients throughout the U.S. Our portfolio includes senior living, higher education, K-12 schools, recreation, and sustainable projects. We have grown to 30 employees and are professionally licensed to provide engineering services in 25 states.
Those who work with Reese Hackman continue to rely on our ability to know and understand the needs of the people who will experience the environments we help to create. Our goal is for these individuals to benefit from the attention that we give to every detail of our designs and from our commitment to excellence in all that we do.
“Reese Hackman is a highly sophisticated team of professionals. Through their discreet lighting designs and engineering understanding, they offer the perfect balance between technical ability and aesthetic sensibility. That is a rare and refreshing combination.”
